Tuition and Fees are the basic mandatory enrollment fees. They are based on three criteria: a) your residency (in-state or out-of-state); b) your level (undergraduate, graduate, Law, non-admitted undergraduate or non-admitted graduate student); and c) the number of credits you are enrolled in. Additional programmatic fees will be charged depending upon your major.

Energy SurchargeThis fee was approved to cover the unusual rise in electricity cost in 2001. The fee
is pro-rated depending on the number of credits for which a student is enrolled. |
TechnologyThis fee covers the cost of maintaining and improving computer access at the UO.
Student e-mail, internet access, and on-campus computer laboratories, among others,
are supported by this fee. The fee is pro-rated depending on the number of credits
for which a student is enrolled. |
BuildingThis fee is allocated to cover a portion of the costs for maintaining the grounds and
buildings on the campus at the UO. The fee is pro-rated depending on the number
of credits for which a student is enrolled. |
IncidentalThis fee is allocated to cover a portion of the costs for maintaining the grounds and
buildings on the campus at the UO. The fee is pro-rated depending on the number
of credits for which a student is enrolled. |
Health ServiceThis fee provides the student access to a full service Health Center on Campus.
This includes low cost office visits, reduced pharmacy rates, lab work and other
medical services. It does not include insurance. The full fee is assessed regardless
of the number of credits for which a student is registered. |
RegistrationThe registration fee is assessed per term to all students in the first credit hour
of enrollment each term. This fee is to cover the fixed costs of registering and
incorporating a student in the student body each term. The full fee is assessed
regardless of the number of credits for which a student is registered. |
Rec CenterThis fee is being used to retire the debt incurred to build and renovate the Student
Recreation Center. It was approved by students in an election in 1997. The fee is
pro-rated depending on the number of credits for which a student is enrolled. |
