Name, Address and Ethnicity Changes

Students may change their names on their official academic record by submitting a Name Change Request to the Registrar's Office. Current and former employees should contact the Payroll Office to have their names changed, even if the employee has a student record. Address changes can be made in DuckWeb.

Choosing What to Display

Students who want to include the address information in the directory or suppress additional or all of the items from the online directory can do so by logging into DuckWeb. Click on Personal Menu > Online Directory Profile. Follow the instructions on that page. Note: the online directory is refreshed once each night, so any changes you make to your directory profile will take effect overnight.

Students who have filed a “Restriction of Directory Information” form at the Office of the Registrar cannot have an online directory listing, regardless of the settings they have selected in DuckWeb. The restriction overrides this profile feature. To remove a "Restriction of Directory Information," contact the Office of the Registrar in Oregon Hall. (See also: Directory Information Restriction.)

Students Who Are Also Staff

Students who are also staff (GTFs in particular) cannot select data elements for their Faculty/Staff online directory listing, only for their Student online directory listing.

Questions about the online Directory Profile can be directed to the Office of the Registrar.

Changes to Academic Record After Graduation

All grade changes, removals of incompletes, and transfer work necessary for completion of degree requirements must be on file in the Office of the Registrar by the Friday following the end of the term of graduation. University of Oregon academic records are sealed thirty days after the conferral of a degree. After this date, changes to majors and minors, addition of departmental honors, removal of incompletes, grade changes, or other changes to an academic record cannot be made.

Academic Standing and Class Standing

Academic standing is based on the term and cumulative UO GPA. Undergraduate class standing is determined by the total number of credits a student has earned, including UO coursework as well as any transfer work that has been processed.
