FERPA 101 for Fall term 2009

Registrar's staff has scheduled a Fall term session of FERPA 101 for Monday, November 16 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Oregon Hall 211.

This staff and faculty training explains the basics of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the UO Student Records Policy, and addresses problems of what is releasable when. It will be especially useful for new departmental staff who work with student data, but will also be a good refresher for anyone, faculty or staff, who has questions or concerns about handling student records.
