Registering for UO Courses

Step 1: Confirm your eligibility. Non-degree seeking program is open to people who are not currently admitted UO students. Non-degree seeking program students without a bachelor's degree may only enroll in undergraduate-level courses.

Step 2: Request a student ID number and Personal Access Code (PAC) by filling out the Non-degree seeking program registration eligibility form. Forms are processed shortly before non-degree seeking program students are allowed to register for the term. In general, you should have your information at the beginning of the following months:

  • Fall term: September
  • Winter term: December
  • Spring term: March
  • Summer term: May

Once processed, the Office of the Registrar will send registration information via email. Already have a UO ID and PAC?

Step 3: View course information online at the UO Class Schedule. No courses are designated specifically for non-degree seeking program students. When courses have prerequisites, students must gain pre-approval from the academic department and/or course instructor.

Step 4: Read and accept the university's billing account Terms and Conditions(Revolving Charge Agreement). This must be read and accepted by all students. Students must agree to the Terms and Conditions in order to register for classes.

Step 5: Register for courses in DuckWeb. Non-degree seeking program registration begins two days before the first day of classes in fall term; during winter and spring terms, it opens two weeks prior to the term.

Students are responsible for the accuracy of their registration and must initiate all changes within the established Academic Calendar. Non-degree seeking program students are subject to the UO Student Conduct Code.
