Area of Inquiry courses are designed to encourage exploration of an unfamiliar area of study and may not be offered with a “Graded” only option in SSASECT. This encourages exploration of new subject areas without the added pressure of a letter grade. On the other hand, those same courses might also serve as foundation courses for pre-major students in that area of study.

Good Standing

Academic Warning
Students receive an academic warning when the UO GPA (Grade Point Average) is lower than 2.00, even if the UO cumulative GPA is 2.00 or higher. This notation is not recorded on the student’s official academic transcript, but shows on the unofficial transcript in DuckWeb.
When entering an F or N grade, "Last Date of Attendance/Participation" is now required. Students are required to meet all eligibility requirements at the time of aid disbursement. This includes student enrollment and participation in all courses for which he/she receives Title IV aid. When a student withdraws from one or all courses during the term or if the student is awarded a non-passing grade (F or N), as an institution, we are required to document that the student did participate in any or all courses for which he/she received Title IV aid, and to document the last day that the student attended/participated.
