Repeat Scenario Examples

The following two examples show the progression and changes to a student's transcript as a course is repeated. (See also: Repeating Courses)

Example #1: All course attempts occurred after Repeat Policy was revised in Fall 2016

  • Students will only receive academic credit once
  • Credit will be given for the most recent attempt if passing grade

Notes:

  • First attempt from Spring 2016, Cum GPA remains untouched (all grades prior to Fall 2016 are not subject to this policy)
  • Third attempt is included in cumulative GPA as this is the second graded attempt AFTER the policy took effect
  • Student still has option to repeat the course. Future attempt(s) will not be included in the cumulative GPA
