The Core Transfer Maps are groups of eight classes that add up to at least 30 credits. When the full set of eight courses are successfully completed at an Oregon community college, they are guaranteed to transfer as a block to any Oregon public university, and they will count toward that university's core Bachelor's degree requirements. Core Transfer Maps are a streamlined subset of the Oregon Transfer Module and the Associates of Arts Transfer degree and can improve efficiency in credit transfer between postsecondary institutions through its organized general education framework.
The following two examples show the progression and changes to a student's transcript as a course is repeated. (See also: Repeating Courses)
Students who need to be absent from a class for religious obligation or observance reasons must make arrangements with instructors in advance. A Student Religious Accommodation Request can provided directly to the professor by the end of the second week of the term. One form is required for each requested observance and for each course. Forms are available at the Registrar’s office.

Banner is a system used by the UO and other OUS institutions to record, classify, and retrieve student and course data. The Student Banner Query System (BQS) is a locally-developed software package designed for University faculty and staff whose information needs require the viewing of student and course data. BQS enables academic advisers and other authorized University personnel to display student demographic information, class schedules, academic histories and other student and course data on their desktop computer.
The information students provide in course evaluations is extremely important. Faculty use information from course evaluations to improve their courses and teaching methods, and to determine whether course content is meeting the needs of their students. Department chairs review course evaluation data to assess both their faculty, and the value of courses offered in their department. University committees include course evaluation data as part of faculty reviews, to determine promotion and tenure. Other students use the course evaluation ratings available to them, to choose courses to add to their schedule.
