Changes to Majors, Minors, and Degrees

Students have the option to update their majors, minors, and degrees throughout their studies.

Adding or Dropping Majors or Minors

If you want to pursue a new major or minor, you should contact the appropriate academic department. Department advisors will discuss major and minor requirements and can share more about prerequisites and what is required to declare a major with their department.

When a department approves a major change, they will send the information to the Office of the Registrar and an academic advisor will be assigned to the student. Once everything is updated, students can confirm the information in DuckWeb.

To update the major or minor in the current term, all changes must be submitted by the Monday of week two of the term.

To drop a major or minor, you should visit with your academic advisor or department for their support.

Changing Your Degree

You may change your degree in DuckWeb.

If you are changing to a professional degree including Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Education, contact the department that offers the major or program to make the change.

Students in Clark Honors College may email the Office of the Registrar to request an update if their degree information in DuckWeb is incorrect.
