Granting Proxy Access on DuckWeb
Students can grant access for a parent(s), legal guardian(s), spouse, or other significant person to view specific aspects of their student account.
As the account owner, the student maintains complete control over the proxy’s access including what information they access, resetting their password, changing or removing access, and sending them messages detailing the access they have been given.
Students must use My UOregon to grant Proxy Access.
Use the hamburger menu ☰ at the beginning of the page and choose "Academics" then "Parent or Family Access" to start authorization for another person to view your student data.
Re-Authorizing a Proxy
Click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, under the person you want to re-authorize. Then complete the form.
Add a New Proxy
Click on "+Add New" at the begining of the page, then complete the form.
Completing the Form
Ensure you fill in all of these fields before clicking the Submit button:
- Relationship: Select from the drop-down menu.
- Start Date: Enter today’s date in MM/DD/YYYY format. You can use the calendar icon to select it or type it in.
- Stop Date: Ensure you are selecting a future end date for your proxy&rsqou;s access in MM/DD/YYYY format. You can use the calendar icon or type in a date.
- Authorizations: Check the box next to the items you want to authorize the proxy to access.
EMail Authorizations
You have the power to send an email to your proxy with a list of the authorizations you have allowed. Click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, under the person you want to re-authorize. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "E-mail Authorizations".
Resetting a Proxy’s Password
Click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, of the person for which you are resetting a password.

The student can easily view the authorization history for each proxy. Click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, of the person and then select the History tab.
View or Resend Communications to a Proxy
Click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, of the person and then select the Communication tab. The student can resend any listed communication to the proxy by clicking the email symbol in the Resend column.
Removing Proxy Access
Use good judgment when authorizing proxy access to your student information. If your proxy has already logged in and accessed your information, you cannot erase the info they saw or may have taken pictures or screenshots.
To update or remove a proxy’s access, click on the pencil symbol, or edit icon, of the person. You can edit or end access by doing one of the following:
- Adjust what a proxy has access to by checking or un-checking the Authorizations
- Remove all access by entering a STOP DATE of today.
Only students can manage their proxies’ accounts, regardless of whether the proxy has logged in or not. Staff in the Office of the Registrar or other UO administrative offices do not have access to add, change, or delete proxy access for students.
