Short courses are courses that do not follow the regular academic dates and deadlines. Students cannot add a short course once it has started or after the add deadline. Furthermore, students cannot drop a short course after it has started. Students should email the Office of the Registrar for assistance with adding or dropping a short course.
Adding or Dropping Short Courses
- Refund percentages and W grades are based on the percentage of the course that has passed at the time a student contacts the Registrar's Office.
- A short course can be added without a late-add petition provided no more than 10% of the course has already passed.
- Petitions will be required for requests to withdraw, change grade option, or change variable credit where more than 70% of the class has passed.
