Veterans Benefits

Your first step to receiving Veterans Benefits at the UO is to apply for VA Education Benefits online at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Upon submission, you will receive confirmation that the VA has received your application. You can expect your request to be processed within 30 days. Once you have been approved for education benefits, the Certificate of Eligibility will be sent to you. Our office will need a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility.

Please reach out to our VA Education Benefits team before submitting the enrollment form. This form is required for all UO students receiving VA education benefits, except for Chapter 31.

Records Release

Due to the type of student record information shared with the VR and E counselor, UO Student Billing, and the Duck Store each academic term while receiving benefits, recipients of the Chapter 31 education benefit will need to complete the veterans education records release form.
