Registration holds prevent a student from making registration changes until the hold is cleared.
This can include:
- registering for or dropping classes
- changing grading options
- changing variable credits
Holds that impact registration are generally posted at least two weeks prior to initial registration for the term.
MyUO
Holds are listed in MyUO in the Academics tab on the View Holds card.
Each hold will include information about:
- what caused the hold or how to clear it
- office or department that placed the hold
- contact information for office that placed the hold
Other Holds
There are many types of holds. Some holds do not impact registration actions. For example:
- first term transcript holds
- course survey holds
- graduation holds
