Students interested in withdrawing from the university for one or more terms should contact their academic advisor to discuss how this will impact their educational journey at the UO.
Withdrawals can impact insurance coverage, finances, transcript notations, and access to campus resources. Students with financial aid or visa enrollment requirements should speak with their appropriate advisors about the full effects of a complete withdrawal.
- You can request a complete withdrawal in DuckWeb.
- Contact advisors in the Division of Undergraduate Education and Student Success with questions about the process.
- You may also want to review the refund schedules to understand how different dates impact your decision to add or drop courses throughout the term.
Complete Drop or Complete Withdrawal in DuckWeb
When the situation warrants, students can make the choice to step away from all classes for the term. This is called a complete drop or complete withdrawal, depending on the date you take the action. A complete drop is done during the “No W” period. A complete withdrawal is any time after the “No W” period. Undergraduates are typically eligible to register for the next term. Talk with your advisor about any questions.
- Log in to DuckWeb
- Click on the “Student Menu” tab
- Click on “Registration Menu”
- Click on “Completely Withdraw from the Term(s)”
- Select the radio button of the term you want to withdraw, then select “Continue”
