Students may want to study toward two degrees at the same time. This allows for learning multiple subjects at once, and multiple options available upon graduation. Earning two degrees differs from earning two majors and may have more requirements.
Concurrent degrees requirements:
- The student must complete departmental requirements for each major.
- The student must complete the core education requirements for each degree.
- The student must complete thirty-six credits at the UO beyond those required for the highest degree's credit requirement.
- The student must apply for the first degree in DuckWeb and submit the concurrent degrees request form to the Office of the Registrar for the second.

Concurrent Degrees within the Same College
The second degree may be within the same school or college. This requires one of the majors to be restricted to a certain degree. For example, because the Medieval Studies major is only awarded as a Bachelor of Arts degree, a student can earn a Bachelor of Science in another major.
Students who are interested in earning concurrent degrees should consult with their academic advisors to understand more about the requirements. When they are ready to apply for their concurrent degrees, they can complete the concurrent degrees request form.
Graduate students should seek guidance from the Division of Graduate Studies to pursue concurrent graduate degrees.
