The University of Oregon Academic Catalog is published on July 1 each year. When July 1 falls on a weekend, the catalog will be published the following Monday.
Catalog updates follow an annual cycle and are made in the CourseLeaf CAT program. There are two types of Catalog updates:
Curriculum Changes
Program requirement changes are made through the program proposal process for approval by the appropriate senate committee (Undergraduate or Graduate Council) and the UO Senate via the Curriculum Report. Course additions and course changes are made through the course approval process and the University of Oregon Committee on Courses. Program and course changes approved during the academic year become effective in fall term of the following academic year.
Changes to course lists (for example, a list of electives) within a program might be expedited. Contact the Catalog and Curriculum Specialist in the Office of the Registrar for assistance.
Non-Curriculum Changes
Non-curriculum changes in the catalog include edits to the program Overview and Faculty tabs and other administrative sections such as Admissions, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, and Academic and Career Planning. Changes to these sections can be made in CourseLeaf by approved catalog editors during the catalog editing period in the spring.
