Students must complete two terms of writing to earn a degree at the University of Oregon. Students may have the requirement waived if they have passed the writing waiver examination, taken an alternate course to satisfy the requirement, or have demonstrated competency.
Academic advisors and faculty members may request a writing waiver on the student’s behalf. For more information, contact the English Department.
